SoliTV is a native application for playing your legally acquired IPTV playlists and personal media on Apple TV, iPhone, and iPad. We engineered the software from the ground up to operate completely without cloud telemetry.
1. What We Collect
Nothing. We do not operate external authentication servers, analytics databases, or advertising trackers. We have no mechanism to see who you are, what channels you watch, or what media servers you connect.
2. What Stays on Your Devices
- Playlists & Credentials: Your M3U links, Xtream Codes credentials, channel favorites, watch history, and bookmarks remain encrypted locally in your device's secure storage.
- iCloud Sync: If you enable iCloud sync, your favorites and playlists are synchronized between your own Apple devices using Apple's private iCloud Key-Value and CloudKit services. We never have access to your iCloud account or data.
- Temporary Cache: TV guide data (XMLTV) and channel icons are stored in local temporary memory and may be cleared by the operating system automatically.
3. External Network Connections
The app only communicates with external services under the following direct circumstances:
- Your IPTV Provider: The app downloads channel lists, guides, and video streams directly from the URL or server endpoint you manually entered.
- Plex / Jellyfin / Emby / NAS: Connects directly over your local network or specified remote host to fetch library metadata.
- The Movie Database (TMDB) & OMDb: Only if you provide your own optional API key to enrich movie plots and posters.
- Apple App Store: All in-app purchases and subscriptions are processed directly through Apple StoreKit. We never receive or process financial or credit card information.
- Public Demo Channels: Included test streams connect to public test servers provided by Apple and open broadcasting tests.
4. Local Home Network Pairing
On Apple TV, SoliTV can start a lightweight local HTTP server (port 8080) strictly while the "Add Playlist" or "Remote" screen is active. This local server is protected by a random 4-digit code displayed on your TV screen. It communicates strictly within your local Wi-Fi network and does not communicate outside your home router.
5. Children’s Privacy
SoliTV does not collect any data from any users, including children. Kids Profiles allow parents to restrict channel visibility behind a local PIN code.
