1. Getting Started in 60 Seconds
- Launch SoliTV on your Apple TV and navigate to Settings › Playlists › Add playlist.
- A QR code and local web link (e.g.,
http://192.168.1.50:8080) will appear on screen. Point your iPhone or iPad camera at the QR code. - Paste your M3U playlist URL or enter your Xtream Codes username and password on your phone.
- Tap Save: your channels, categories, and TV guide will load automatically on your Apple TV!
No playlist yet? Tap "Try the demo channels" from the welcome screen to test the guide, player, and remote controls with included public streams.

3. Troubleshooting Playback Issues
- Use the Stream Diagnostic tool: Press and hold Play/Pause during playback and choose "Test this stream". SoliTV tests your connection, checks provider response, and displays plain-English diagnosis.
- Error 401, 403, or 405: This typically indicates that your provider account has reached its concurrent stream limit, or the specific channel/movie is not included in your subscription package.
- Single Connection Limits: If your provider strictly allows only 1 stream at a time, toggle Settings › Playlists › [Your Playlist] › Streams allowed at once = 1. SoliTV will gracefully pause live TV when launching on-demand movies.
- Audio but no video (or format unsupported): SoliTV includes TVVLCKit built-in. Go to Settings › Playback › Player Engine and set it to Automatic or VLC to decode MPEG-TS, MKV, and AC3/EAC3 Dolby surround sound.
4. TV Guide (EPG) Fixes
- Force Guide Refresh: Navigate to Settings › TV guide › Update guide now.
- Time Zone Off by an Hour: Go to Settings › TV guide › Guide time shift to calibrate for daylight savings or time differences.
- Manual Guide Remapping: If a channel's guide shows the wrong show, hold Play/Pause while on that channel, choose "Match guide channel", and pick the matching XMLTV stream.
5. Premium Subscriptions & Family Sharing
- Universal Access: Premium unlocks Apple TV, iPhone, and iPad simultaneously under the same Apple ID.
- Family Sharing: Covers up to 6 family members in your Apple Family group automatically.
- Restore Purchases: On a new Apple TV or device, open Settings › Premium › Restore purchases.
- Managing Subscriptions: Subscriptions are managed directly by Apple in your tvOS or iOS Settings under Subscriptions.
